social media has been all the buzz giving everyone an excused to share their life with ANY one willing to follow. i'm no exception, so here goes nothing.
Today, October 24th, I am sitting here in my new office as Dean of Students at Old Harbor School. I have the most amazing view out my office window of the bay and hillside across the way. The sun is rising and life is happening.
I'm the Dean of Students in Old Harbor. I am sitting here reflecting back on my life since my last blog only to realize I've had the most amazing life. Today I am only going to set a timeline of events with hopes of sharing highlights later down the road.
Since April 2009 I've moved several times.

out of tune, out of touch
well an experience of an alaskan in alaska kinda fell through. i'm still the alaskan in alaska, but now i feel like i'm living the high life in a fancy house and don't know i feel about it
i'm not much of a writer, except the one who will write and write about all the ordinary things i've done.
i haven't posted a blog in so many years and so many experiences and memories have slipped my mind. where am i currently? i'm in old harbor, alaska. small community on the kodiak island.
and if you haven't noticed by now, i do not like to use capitals. and even i'm a teacher, i still refuse to use capitals. ok, got that out of the way.
back to old harbor. i work at a dean of students in the school that has 32 students. two of them are mine. my main role is to do develop a positive climate, enforce rules, and help students be successful. its been a year of many mistakes, lessons learned, and opportunities experienced.
more...and more, later.

well
I'm here in Bethel, Alaska enjoying a wonderful relaxing sunny day in my room at a bed and breakfast. The typical snowmachine sound outside is the only thing distracting me from the quiet, relaxing feeling of my room. I want to remember these serene moments as I know they don't happen often.
I'm just happy to be alive.
